Huntsville – Houston (2017-04-22)
After a hot and sticky night, the morning is grey and rainy.
We cannot finish breakfast outside as the rain picks up. We have another
alligator in the lake in from of our site. It is sad that we have to move as the campground is
filling up and we cannot not extend our stay to another night. A sardine box type of
campground is expecting us a bit north of Houston… A very short drive. Time to
relax, catch up with the blog, do the laundry and explore a bit Houston.
Houston is
an interesting city and its road system a bit different, particularly getting
out and in freeways. Driving is also quite a bit more tricky, you can
feel the « cowboy » influence even more sot han anywhere else on the
state : they continue on red light, the cut into lanes… Downtown is quite
nice with a mix of old and newer buildings. They have a very nice park by the
convention centre and a lot of people was out enjoying the nice Earth day.
