Fort Pickens – McIntosh (2017-04-28)
We drive pretty much all day in a green corridor… a lot of
miles of it. We have ambitious days and this is one of them. We stop along the
way for a very nice lunch in a small bistro. Once again, it is good to be able
to leave the freeway just a bit to discover those little treasures. As we are
Friday, no place in a state park for us tonight.
We are right by the lake and once settled, we call our sons and
watch the alligators going around in the water. By the time we leave for a bike
ride, we have seen at least 6 of them! What a treat! The bike ride is very nice,
however Claude has to come back walking with a flat front tire… It will be our
second night on air conditioning. Florida is hot and sticky!
